OnAir currently features four separate worlds, also known as servers for players to choose from. Each features different modes and rules of play with additional customization in Global Settings, if the world enables them.

Subscription players may choose to play on any or all servers. Users can create a separate company for each server and play them all if they wish[1].

Clear Sky

Clear Sky is the default and newest world available for all new users including trial users. Starting your first company will occur here and rewards from the tutorial will be sent here.

Joining this world will provide the most flexibility and ease of learning to play. Many options within your company settings will allow you to adjust your play difficulty as you prefer, including job pay bonus and options to unlock all skills.

Players with limited time to play can still find maintaining a profitable company quite comfortable. New companies may also choose to enable Survival Mode to disable the more unrealistic options such as instant transportation or checkride difficulty.

  • Recommended for new players
  • Solo or Tycoon Mode[2]
  • Relaxed rule set
  • Sandbox play options
  • Survival mode optional

Cumulus

Cumulus has previously been the default world for new players and trial users. This world includes all of the same rules and options as Clear Sky.

  • Recommended for new players
  • Solo or Tycoon Mode[2]
  • Relaxed rule set
  • Sandbox play options
  • Survival mode optional

Stratus

Stratus companies must play with Survival Mode enabled meaning unrealistic options are unavailable.

Experience and a clear company strategy is recommended before playing in this world to ensure profitability long term. Companies may hire and train AI employees within Stratus to generate profit from additional jobs as well.

This server is considered competitive due to Survival Mode being enabled and features its own leaderboard.

  • Recommended for experienced players
  • Leaderboards
  • Solo or Tycoon Mode[2]
  • Realistic rule set
  • Survival mode required
  • Minimum daily rental hours

Thunder

Thunder is currently the only world to feature Virtual Airlines which allow players to work for a larger airline which shares assets and distributes jobs to its members.

This world requires all human pilots as AI are not allowed to fly aircraft, however AI co-pilots, flight attendants, and mechanics work normally as required.

Similar to Stratus, Thunder is considered a competitive world due to Survival Mode and also features its own leaderboard.

  • Recommended for experienced players
  • Leaderboards
  • Solo or Virtual Airlines
  • Realistic rule set
  • Survival mode required
  • No minimum daily rental hours
